Film Description: "Don't expose him to bright light. Don't ever get him wet. And don't ever, ever feed him after midnight." This sage advice is ignored midway through Gremlins, with devastating results.
In Dante's classic comedy horror, young Billy’s father brings home an exotic animal named Gizmo from a Chinese pet shop. The furry little creature seems adorable, but Billy is told to follow three strict rules: don’t expose Gizmo to bright light, don’t get him wet, and don’t feed him after midnight. One by one the rules are duly broken, and pandemonium quickly ensues.
A horde of gleeful gremlins rampage across town, wrecking not just Billy’s home but also the high school, bank and local bar, shooting, drinking and breakdancing their way to a final showdown on Christmas morning.
The slapstick horror is both hilarious and gory, the puppetry and special effects are true ’80s-style over-the-top fun, the performances are charming – in short, GREMLINS remains as fresh, funny and slyly subversive as ever.
